Vision

Every church should have a purpose statement about their vision.  That statement should answer the question, “why do we exist?” At Lifesong Church we filter our ideas, programs and financial commitments through our purpose statement. The things we do must align with that purpose, and in the absence of that alignment, we don't do 'it'.

Lifesong Church's purpose can be summarized this way:  "To impact people with a relevant experience of God's love, moving them to become fully-devoted followers of Christ."

Our purpose statement is based on and flows from these two teachings of Jesus:

Jesus replied:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart …soul and …mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.

Matthew 22:36-40

He said to them:

Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe…” Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.

Mark 16:15-20

Lifesong Church exists therefore…

  • To Worship God with sincere passionate expression.
  • To Define Moments by sharing the Good News of Jesus through intentional relationships.
  • To Discover Purpose by helping people uncover their God-given gifts and talents.
  • To Develop Leaders by equipping people and releasing their gifts to fulfill their purpose.
  • To Deliver Hope through the release of leaders into their destiny and resources to those in need.

You can learn more about our purpose at Lifesong 101 and more about how your gifts and calling fit into that purpose in the Engage Seminar.
